The recent discovery of the prestigious Roman-era archaeological site near Rome’s Tiburtina rail station is located within the foundations of a building.
To carry out the restoration work, a FlyDeck suspended working platform was anchored on the concreate ceiling in order to operate without touching the site archeological below.
“This methodology, which represents a perfect combination of modern engineering and respect for history, will allow the restoration work to proceed while maintaining minimal interference with the Roman remains,” said client Archiplan Srl.
The wide range of beam lengths and deck sizes made it possible to perfectly adapt the working plan to the complex geometry of the area and to follow the perimeter of the walls.
