Eni’s new headquarters in San Donato Milanese, with 4,600 workstations, consists of three interconnected towers clad with metamorphic facades to ensure high energy performance and an idea of dynamism.
The two buildings Icon and Landmark are connected to each other at the seventh-floor level by an 85 m span steelwork bridge. The width of the bridge varies from about 15 m to 3 m, as does its height: it starts at 20 m at the Icon tower, aligning with its roof, and reaches 6 m in height once it reaches the Landmark tower.
A Flydeck provisional suspended structure was installed to allow the setup of the wire mesh ceiling.
The high flexibility of the system made it easy to follow the narrowing of the bridge width.
